Last Day of 3rd Grade

My quick re-caps with your teachers revealed -
- They loved having you as student.
- You genuinely love learning and don't place pressure on yourself to do well.
- You sometimes can't help your desire to over achieve. (Ms. Ryan shared a story where you just had write 20 facts and you said you had to write 25.)
- You seem very excited and were telling everyone that Ms. Zeppos is giving you (and only you) extra summer work. (2 book studies and a social studies research project.)
- You are friendly with everyone and can move easily from friend group to friend group.
- You steer clear of girl drama and don't take sides.
- You are mature, but still act like a 9 year old.
- All in all- you are doing well academically, socially, and mentally. :)
We're very proud!

Last night when asked to organize and clean out your back pack - you cried for like 15 minutes. You said - I wasn't helping you. Also you just felt like crying. Here we go...

Battle of the Books

Your team got 2nd place, beating two 3rd grade classes and two 4th grade classes. You and a few of your friends made a point at the beginning of the school year to read books from the Battle of the Books' list. You took the test and made the class team. Also on the team - Lois, Silas, Tate, and Maggie. Team name - Ryan's Readers.

You were excited the whole time and nominated yourself the "writer". It was "pub style" trivia. There were three rounds, each round the points for the right answer increased. The score ended up being 52 to 50 - so close!

Daddy and I both came - and we were very proud. Of course your first trophy is in reading. :)
