Year 2 Piano Recital

Maevy-girl-

Year 2 and you are still liking piano. Your teacher says you are actually a great sight reader and we've turned the corner with practicing. You no longer cry or whine - you just set the timer for 15 minutes and practice. Done and done.

I really liked the piece you did at the recital and I could tell you enjoyed practicing and playing it.

Keep up the great work! Mom and Dad are super proud!

Of course - there was 1 person that played the drums during the recital. It was Carter's favorite.

WLDC

Maevy -

The 3rd/4th graders are taking the TCAPs this week - so 2nd grade got to do the morning show - WLDC. Your name got picked at random from your class.

We had fun rehearsing this week and I was happy you let loose at the end. You were excited that you got an extra line added to the script. You did great and your friends/classmates were really sweet afterward - patting you on the back or just saying - "Good job, Maevy!" Such a sweet and supportive school - we're so thankful you are there. :)

2nd Grade - 3rd Quarter Report Card

Maevy-girl -

All As again - :)

Sweet note from Ms. Kessler again -
Maevy continues making excellent progress in second grade. She is such a bright and curious girl. She is well behaved and eager to please. I love our interactions.

Keep up the great work. Mom and Dad are very proud of you.

Random story from last night -
I'm always making fun of you and Daddy when it's his turn to help you with school work. Usually I have to break you two up because I'll find you guys watching Brian Regan or some other form of messing around. Last night you really wanted to prank me - so while I was doing homework with Carter, you and Daddy were looking up pranks. Then you came in with Daddy. You were both saying your tummy was hurting and you were having bathroom issues. You, of course, started laughing...and then dropped something on the floor - that was supposed to look like poop. I didn't buy it, but it was still funny. It was just wet, rolled up cardboard. We immediately tried to trick Carter and he kept getting really close to it and smelling it. It was funny - I'll give you that. You and Daddy are always up to no good. :)
