Snow Day

It actually snowed over the weekend. We did take you out to let you "play" with the snow. You weren't very interested and actually seemed pretty upset. See pics. But because of the snow our big plans of going to both the Country Music Hall of Fame and Cheekwood were canceled. Instead we played at home and enjoyed the warmth inside.

Maevy Menu

You've always been a great eater, although sometimes you go on strikes. A couple weeks ago it was vegetables. Last week it was chicken. The trick is letting you watch mommy or daddy eat it first. Then we just ignore you a little and keep eating. You usually go ahead and try the new food on your tray and like it. Last night you ate and enjoyed (at for a little while) some turkey meatball with marinara sauce. But when you are done, you are done. You pick up the little piece of food and slowly, but dramatically drop it on the floor- always on the right side and always with your right hand.

I've always made the majority of your food or at the very least bought healthy/fresh ingredients. I wouldn't feed you anything that I wouldn't eat myself. No processed baby food for you.

Here's the full list of everything that I could think of that you've eaten-
Pureed foods-
asparagus
green beans
peas
broccoli
sweet potatoes
white pototoes
buttternut squash
zucchini
cauliflower
avocado
parsnips
ground turkey
apples
blueberry
black cherries
blackberries
raspberries
bananas
stock veggies (leaks, asparagus, sweet potatoes)
oatmeal
rice cereal

Recently, you've been eating more grown-up food-
Everything above just not pureed
tofu (you love tofu!)
pesto chicken
turkey meatball
beef brisket
carrots
lima beans
black beans
red pepper
cheese- lots of cheese (you love dairy)
cottage cheese
yogurt
ricotta cheese
cherrios
crackers
mini-grilled cheese sandwich

I hope we can add a lot more to this list!

Walking

Here's our first video upload. Maevy- You took your first steps before the holidays. Now you are up to 8-10 steps. Soon you'll be running...

Month 10

This month you switched to a 2-3-4 pattern. You wake up and are up for 2 hours, nap at 9am, then up for 3 hours, then nap at 2p, then up for 4 hours, and in bed at 6:45p. You are eating lots of great food- vegetables, chicken, tofu, fruit, and yogurt.

You've started to say nan-na and da-ddy. By the middle of the month you were walking all by yourself.
You had a couple snow days from school this month. Mommy stayed home with you one day and one day M and Pop came up.

One snowy weekend we took a fun trip to the library where we read, played with toys, and ran around.

My notes from the month say that you like to climb and bounce around in the playpen and throw things/balls.

Favorite books: "Pat the Bunny", "Wheels on the Bus", and any pop-up book. You love your activity garden, bathtime, and cuddling with Mommy/Daddy before bedtime.

Love you Maevy.
