Maevs-
At school yesterday you wrote this letter to Santa with your teachers. This letter is hilarious for several reasons:
1. Do you really want kittens or did your teacher just think kittens and you were actually thinking about the kitchen.
2. You are really set on this new kitchen thing. Can you actually tell that it's something we got 2nd hand or are you just thinking I want a new, as in different, kitchen.
3. What is wrong with your adorable, antique table?
4. You know what else is getting old, YOU! (aww, snap! burn!..just kidding)
I have a feeling Santa is going to dissapoint you this year. Maybe we can distract you with colorful new toys.
Love you,
Mommy

Making a List
Hi Maevy-
Daddy grabbed this gem from your art cubby at school yesterday. It was of course written on pink paper with an orange marker; so I had to do a little reformatting to get the words to show up.
Here's your Christmas list-
- a new play kitchen (for your playroom...not sure what's wrong with the current one)
- a writing pad
- gummy bears (they've had these at school recently for rewards)
- bottles for playing
- pink paper (of course)
- A LOT of scissors (totally something I bet you saw in your classroom while coming up with this list)
- 2 babies
- and 2 shopping carts for your 2 babies
I can pretty much guarantee you aren't going to get any of this stuff, and I bet if I asked you today what you want for Christmas it would be totally different. Either way, it's an adorable list.
Love you,
Mom
PS. It's Hanukkah this week, and at school they went around asking everyone what they thought a Menorah was. You were the only who answered correctly, replying "candles". I hope you saw this in a book and actually learned it, rather than a lucky guess. I followed up after school and asked if there was anything at our house that was similar to a Menorah and you correctly replied, "our advent wreath!". So smart. Love you!

Halloween 2012 - Dorothy
Maevy-
We spent most of September and October talking about what you wanted to be for Halloween. For a long time you said a friendly ghost, and then I suggested some girlie options like Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, or Dorothy. You seemed excited about Dorothy and then when I found a cute Dorothy-inspired dress and red, ruby shoes on consignment, it was a done deal. Extra bonus- we were able to borrow a Toto dog from your school.
At Carmen's Halloween parade- (Your friend, Thalia, was also Dorothy.)

1st Boyfriend
Maevster-
I'm blame myself and Ms. Morgan (one of your school teachers) for this one. We've been hanging out socially with Monty (and his parents- Ms. Karen and Mr. Jason) a lot, like at least once a week.
You get pretty excited when we say we are going to hang out with Monty after school. You're kind of bossy, but overall I think you two play well together.
I will jokingly say, "Monty's your boyfriend." or "You love Monty..." I think Ms. Morgan says "Monty's my boyfriend!" And then you reply, "No, he's mine!"
Well we had dinner at their house last Friday night. As we were leaving, we told you to give Monty a hug or high-five and say "thanks for having us over." You decided to give Monty a hug and a kiss (unsolicited)! It was very sweet. Why do girls always have to make the first move?
Side story: I did the same thing in Kindergarten, kissing Jesse Conrad at nap time. I consider him my first love. :)
Love you,
Mom

iPad Addict
Maevster-
You are becoming quite the big girl. Our new morning routine (on a school day) consists of Carter waking up at 6am (Mom nurses Carter in bed) while Daddy keeps his eyes closed. Sometimes you don't wake up until your clock is green (6:30a), but other times you get up just a few minutes after Daddy gets Carter. We used to just send you back to bed, but this week I got creative and gave you a couple options - 1. Go back upstairs and read, or 2. Play with the iPad in the living room until Mom and Dad get up.
Without hesitation, you whispered back to me..."iPad," and left the room.
When Daddy finally got up, he came out to the living room to find the above scene- you on the couch all covered up, watching Curious George (on the iPad), with a bowl of peanut-butter pretzels. (I guess you were hungry..and a bowl of cereal was too complicated.)
You are hilarious, Maevy, and your maturity never ceases to amaze me. Also...you're welcome for the iPad.
Love,
Momma

Tinkerbell
Last weekend you were invited to a new friend's, Laoise, 4th birthday party. It was a Disney princess party with real-life people dressed up as Cinderella and Jasmine. You were very shy at first and sat in Mommy's lap while they sang a couple songs and tried to get everyone to twirl and curtsey. A couple things of note:
1. You've never seen Alladin, and therefore had no idea who Jasmine was. You asked, "Why is that girl's tummy showing?" I didn't really know how to respond...That's how they dress in the Middle East...definitely not true.
2. You were all dressed up in a fancy dress and even wore your Glenda the Good Witch tiara, but most of the other girls had play-princess dresses on. Laoise's mom asked you if you wanted to put on a Tinkerbell dress and you immediately said, "Yes!" As we were putting it on, you noticed there was little medal with a picture on it. You thought it was Cinderella. She was blonde and pretty. I told you.. "No, that's Tinkerbell." Then I immediately realized you had never seen Peter Pan or Tinkerbell, both Disney movies. You've only seen the Mary Martin play - Peter Pan, where Tinkerbell is just a light. This came up again when the Princesses were painting Tinkerbell on your hand. You said, "That's not Tinkerbell. He's a light." I think you thought Tinkerbell was a boy too! The whole thing was pretty funny, and of course the Disney princesses recommended you see the movies. We'll see...
The best part of the party was the end when Laoise's mom let you borrow/take home the Cinderella dress-up dress. You've come home almost every day from school this week, and put it on with some form "glass" slippers.
Love you,
Mama
P.S. You still think Jasmine's tummy should be covered up. :)

Hey Maev-
Just within this last month or so your writing skills have really taken off. I'm so impressed. Every morning Mom/Dad are required to sign you in at school. When you started the Three's class, Miss Alex started providing a kid's sign-in clipboard. The first couple weeks you weren't too interested, but now you sign in every morning. We give you lots of a praise and jokingly point out all the parents who have obviously written in their child's name for them. :) Now you are signing your name on everything. Keep up the good work!

Mama

Spoon Follow-up
This morning while you were watching Phineas & Ferb on Mom's phone and eating your cereal, Daddy asked if you wanted to be "a fireside girl"- kind of like a Girl Scout.
You replied: "No...I want to be a spoon."
Sounds like you are determined. Dream big, Maev!

1st Day of School- Three's Class
Hey Maevy-
Starting today, you are officially no longer a toddler. Even though you've been 3 for awhile now, today was your first day in the Three's class. Mom and Dad made a big deal out of it- singing/dancing to a song this morning- "Who's a big girl? In the Three's Class...Who's a big girl? In the Three's Class... Who's a big girl? In the Three's Class?..." You get the point. (Mom isn't very creative.) You still liked the song. And, we took the required 1st Day of School Photo- (still in the red building, but in the basement).
Your teachers are Ms. Alex and Ms. Jessie. Mom and Dad are super excited that Ms. Alex moved up with you (again). You guys are best buds, our favorite babysitter and has been your teacher since you were in T-3. You've been with most of these classmates for over a year now, having started T-4 with them last August.
Extra bonus- your new classroom shares a door/open area with the nursery. So you'll hopefully get to see Carter several times throughout the day. Plus it will make pick-up a lot easier (no more carrying heavy car seats up/down stairs!)
Last year's school year was spent potty-training, learning your alphabet, numbers, some Spanish, and much more. I'm excited to see what this year will bring...(more reading, letter sounds, writing skills!)
Already on your first day- you had to decide what you want to be when you grow up...You said a "spoon". Interesting...also why the mean face?
Love you,
Mom & Dad

Modern Day- Pretend Play
Hey Maevy-
Before heading out the door this morning for school, you grabbed a book that you, Daddy (and Carter) had just read- A Mother for Choco. Unprompted, here's our conversation:
You: "I'm pretending this is an iPad."
(I quickly looked back and saw you swiping away.)
Me: "What are you doing? Playing a game?"
You: "No, I'm looking at pictures."
Me: "Cool"
M (and Pop) are totally to blame for this one. We don't even own an iPad, but M does. You love looking at pictures on it and playing games that M downloaded for you.
I'm sure Daddy and I are going to have many of these moments; moments where we realize how technology will play a major role in your life and at such an early age. I think looking back on this post when you are in high school will be mind-blowing. In 2012, iPads are one of the coolest things out there. I wonder what your children will pretend their books are...instead of books.
Love you,
Mom

Mini-vaca
Hi Maevy, this is M & Pop, your Taylor grandparents. We went on a trip with you around the 4th of July, 2012. We drove to Chattanooga, TN, and stayed at the Chattanoogan Hotel for three nights. We went swimming, out to eat at neat places, road the Incline railway up Lookout Mountain, and spent a long morning at the Discovery Center. You ran most of the way through the Tennessee Aquarium, but did seem fascinated with a scuba diver inside the environment, playing with a swimming turtle. We took you home on July 4th and returned to Germantown with great memories!

Shall we Shrek?
Maevy,
This week, you and Daddy went to the Movies in the Park to take in (the first 30 mins of) Shrek. It was just us two, and we had a pretty good time. You were not familiar with any of the characters from the movie, but enjoy getting out and doing these kinds of things.
Well, as you may recall (either from actual memories, or previous blog posts) you are a big fan of the popular song "Call Me
You are also a bit bossy sometimes (your mother inspires this trait), and when the team of people starting throwing t-shirts into the crowd, you insisted that we not get one. And with you in my lap, as I was waving my arms to get a shirt thrown my way you began to cry. After a boy came roaring past us, grabbing the incoming shirt from about a foot in front of us, I saw you crying (with tears and everything) and whining about not wanting a t-shirt. I'm not sure what you thought was going to happen if we accepted a t-shirt, but whatever the outcome it was probably going to be innocuous. Probably give it to your mother for use as a sleep shirt, or I may wear it while doing random "dirty tasks" around the house. Either way, no real need in freaking out about receiving a free t-shirt from a local, hippy paper.
But after all that, the movie soon began. The Pink Panther took up about 10 minutes and dented into our allotted time at the park, and by the time Shrek started it was 815pm. Your mother and I decided (through texts) that about 30 mins and you and I had to get going back home. I made you get up with me and leave about 9 or so, and I felt horrible since you kept saying something like "...but I want to stay and watch Shrek" and "I'm not tired." and "can we stay and watch the movie?" all in that really cute 3-year-old daughter way that makes a father melt inside and want to give you whatever you ask for.
With a normal bedtime of 7 - 730p, the eventual 930p arrival back home was a pretty big gap to get you to sleep. But you were not tired.
One more thing about our night out - it was the first time that we told you about Carter's hearing problems. I was telling you about what we had just learned and you sat in the backseat, on the way to the event, saying "OK" to whatever I was telling you.
Anyways, I had a great time with you that night. We laughed, we cried, we tasted bug spray in our mouths. And no matter what we do in the future, I'll always have Shrek with you.
Love,
Daddy

So call me Maevy...
There's always a few "songs of summer", and this summer one of them is Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". Here's the chorus-
Hey, I just met you and this is crazy,
But here's my number so call me maybe
It's hard to look right at you baby,
But here's my number so call me maybe
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy,
But here's my number, so call me maybe
And all the other boys, try to chase me,
But here's my number so call me maybe
While we were in Memphis for Memorial weekend, Aunt Lesley and Aunt Robyn took you with them to the mall, and the song came on in the car. They decided to change up the lyrics and sang "So call me Maevy". I think you thought it was pretty silly, but weeks later it came on in the car with Mom, and you remembered it. You said, "Aunt Lesley and Robyn like this song too!"
Here are you and Aunt Rob dancing to it. Aunts are fun. I like your moves.
Love you,
Mom

Summer Time
Maevster-
Since Mom's been home with baby Carter, summer has arrived! Yay! Here are some of fun summer activities we've done so far-
Swim lessons-
Your YMCA teacher, Ms. Rachael, was great. She said you were one the best in the class. Here you are floating on your back, almost unassisted. Great job!
Strawberry Picking-
When Aunt Lesley came to visit we went strawberry picking. You were a big help! Plus you love strawberries.
Dance/Tumbling Recital-
You had your 2nd dance/tumbling recital. You've been showing off your forward rolls for months now, but Mom and Dad were also excited to see you crab walk and gallop. We also recreated a picture that we took last year after the recital- on the swing, outside the firehouse. You with all your boyfriends- Carmen & Elias (Monty had already left.) 2012-
2011-
You look like such a little lady in the 2012 one. Plus you and those pig-tail curls are so stinkin' cute!
Backyard Fun-
Mommy and Daddy spent some time this spring making our backyard a little more kid-friendly. We added a seating area, a music corner, a water wall, a balance beam, a chalkboard, and even some tires to climb on. It's fun having friends over and breaking out our make-shift slip and slide. You usually prefer to just hold the hose, but here's a picture of you actually sliding!
Looking forward to more summer activities...

Bike Rider
Hey Maevy-
For a year now, we've trying to get you to ride your tricycle. Well you've enjoyed riding it, but not necessarily pedaling. The tricycle came with a cool handle that let Mom and Dad push you. We eventually took the handle off. Typically you would pedal 2 to 3 times and then say you were either tired or just not interested in riding your bike.
Both sets of grandparents scored sweet deals on used "real" bikes with training wheels. I think Grandma paid $5. Nice! Maybe it was lots of practice with the M & Pop or maybe you just woke up one day and decided I'm ready to pedal and ride a bike, but now you're a pro.
You still like riding your tricycle, but prefer your "new" bike. Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa brought it up to Nashville last weekend when the visited. So far, our favorite spot to go riding is the Bicentennial Mall. There's lots of concrete, and fun places to visit- the globe, the amphitheater, and the bells.
Mom and Dad are really proud of you, and can't wait to take off those training wheels. :)
Love you,

Conversations with a 3 year old
Maevy-
You've been saying some hilarious things lately. I think I just find it fascinating when you speak like an adult, using proper grammar and tone. Here are couple recent phrases and stories-
1. I had picked you up early from school and we were playing at the house. I asked you to go find a book, puzzle, or something to play with in the playroom. You walked over there, and from the other room I heard, "Oh, I have a new idea!"
2. You are kind of obsessed with your "Seek and Find" book that you've had for over a year now. You like to read/play with anyone, and usually make them seek while you state- "I spy with my little eye..."- which is adorable in itself. But recently, you've noticed that there are several items not listed within the box of "Seek" items. I guess you kept asking Dad why the items weren't listed, and he told you that the artist/editor chose not to list them there. So now when we are playing, you like to ask me, "Why did the artist choose not to put (insert item) on this page?"
3. Last weekend, Aunt Robyn came in town to meet Carter. Rather than move you from your bed or break out the blow-up bed, Aunt Robyn shared a bed with you. I don't think she had the best night's sleep. I guess you kept touching her in the middle of the night, and then in the morning you woke up early and whispered, "I'm awake, but I have to stay in bed until the clock turns green. Okay?"
4. Last night while eating your dinner, you said "I'm going to eat all my dinner, and then I can have a special treat. Okay?"
5.We were out playing in the backyard, and I told you to stand on top of your picnic table and sing me some songs. You sang 3 or 4 songs, and then sat down next to me, saying "I sang a lot of songs. Now I'm tired and need to sit down."
6.We stopped by the "dirt park" yesterday afternoon and there was newborn baby girl there. Here's your confidant/bossy conversation you had with the Mommy-
You: What's her name?
Baby's Mom: Scarlett
You: Oh, how do you spell that?
Mom: s-c-a-r-l-e-t-t
You: Oh.
Mom: What's your name?
You: Maevy
Me: Maevy, how do you spell your name?
You: m-a-e-v-y
(later)
You: Here's a dandelion for you.
Baby's Mom: Thanks.
You: You need to blow it!
Me: Maev, don't boss people around.
I don't think you'll have a problem figuring out this oldest child thing.
Love you Maev.

Mother's Day
Hi Maevy-
For Mother's Day, you made made me lots of great art presents at school. Also Daddy and you took me out for a nice brunch at Marche. For your 2nd breakfast of the morning, you had another egg, some bacon, and one of daddy's croissant french toasts. I guess you were starving.
You also gave me this adorable FAQ sheet that I think was supposed to be all about me, but ended up being mostly about you. Here's what you had to say-
My Mom-
Age: 3,2,1
Name: Amy
Favorite Food: Fruit
Favorite Drink: Milk (this could be true- I do love milk.)
Favorite TV Show: Curious George (c'mon you know it's S-U-R-V-I-V-O-R!!)
Favorite Chore: Cleaning (hmm not so much)
Why I love her: Because she gave me a baby brother! (too sweet!)
Love you,
Mommy

Big Sister
Congrats Maev! You're a Big Sister! After much anticipation, baby brother finally arrived last week. You have been so sweet so far. You love giving him a kiss each morning when you wake up, when you come home from school, and before you go to bed. You also like rubbing his head/hair- which is very soft. You're not a huge fan of him when he's crying, often asking, "Why is he still crying?"
You know his name is Carter, but you usually call him Baby Brother, your baby (as in Mommy's baby), or my baby (as in your baby). Your nickname for him before he was born was "Mousie" which we think you took from the mouse in the tea cup in Alice in Wonderland. Lately, you've been giving everyone animal names. You are usually "Baby Turtle"- hence the turtle on your Big Sister shirt. Mommy is "Mama Elephant". Daddy is "Daddy Caterpillar". And now Carter has been "Carter-Mousie".
You've also been a great big Sister helper- helping give him a wash cloth bath or picking out a new onesie for him. You're a wonderful stylist. Carter always looks his best when you pick out his outfit. Thank you so much for all your help!
Love,
Mom

Easter Get-a-way
Hi Maev-
You recently went on a little get-a-way to Memphis without Mom and Dad. This was a first for us. I wasn't really worried, and of course I missed you lots. The Thursday morning before Easter we met Grandma and Grandpa halfway between Memphis and Nashville. We woke up super early and of course you didn't go back to sleep. Instead you opted to watch part of Cinderella, and just talk your Dad's ear off while Mommy drove.
Grandma, of course, had lots of activities planned for you. Thursday- you all made Easter cupcakes and decorated them. Friday-you went shopping for some summer swim shoe/sandals. Saturday- you dyed and decorated eggs, and Sunday- you went to Mass in the morning, followed by a Easter basket and Easter egg hunt.
Also on Friday, you spent the afternoon with M, Pop, and JR. You played outside with the T-ball set, and hung out down street with some of the other neighborhood kids, including another 3yr named Maeve!
Mom and Dad didn't get the relaxing weekend- we were hoping for. Dad's car called it quits and we spent most of the weekend at a car dealership buying a "new to us" car.
We ended up meeting Grandma and Grandpa halfway again on Sunday afternoon, but this time at Natchez Trace Park. I brought enough Cascarones for the group, and we also set up an Easter Egg hunt for you.
Here are some pics from the weekend-

3rd Birthday
Happy 3rd Birthday Maevy!
I can't believe you are already 3. I'm not even sure if you are considered a toddler anymore. I guess you are officially a big girl.
On Saturday afternoon you helped Mommy and Daddy finish up your big girl room. The transition was super easy. For weeks now, you've been loving the reading corner. And so far, you haven't fallen out of your big, queen sized bed. You also enjoy picking (2) stuffed animals to sleep with for naps or bedtime from your stuffed animal net.
On Sunday, we had your Birthday-Tea Party. You invited 2 special girl friends, Celeste and Zoe. You drank "tea" (hot chocolate), had heart-shaped peanut butter sandwiches, and bananas and strawberries. Then you had tea pot shaped cake pops for dessert.
Afterwards, you all ran around the house like crazy and I had to tempt you all downstairs with Cinderella, the movie. You watched about 30 minutes of it, and then Daddy took you all outside to play in the backyard and take some pictures.
Mommy and Daddy gave you several books and the Cinderella movie, which you finished after the birthday party was over. You asked during the movie, "When this is finished, can we read the Cinderella book?"
Also on Sunday, you helped Mommy make strawberry-yogurt popsicles for your school birthday treat. We used vanilla yogurt and frozen strawberries that you helped picked last May! Your teachers said they were a big hit. They even took a video, but said it was kind of boring because everyone was just eating them.
Overall I think you had a great birthday. You love telling everyone that you are 3, and at another recent birthday, you went around to all the parents saying, "I'm big!"
You are such a sweet 3 year old, constantly giving hugs to your family, friends and even your friends' parents. Even though you're not my baby anymore, I'll still always love snuggling up with you to read a book or 10. Mom and Dad are both looking forward to seeing you grow up even more this year, and taking on a new role- Big Sister!
Happy Birthday pumpkin! Love you!
- Mommy
PS. We might need to work on your goofy smile. See above for proof.

Cowardly Lion
Hey Maev-
You are still pretty obsessed with The Wizard of Oz. Every night you ask that we tell you "the Glinda the Good Witch story" which is just a shortened version of the Wizard of Oz story- the Glinda parts only. This morning while you were eating your breakfast, Daddy was nice enough to pull up a couple you tube videos on his phone from The Wizard of Oz. Mesmerized by the clips, it was very easy to get you dressed and ready for the day.
At one point, Mommy and Daddy were getting dressed. You were in the dining room watching the Cowardly Lion scene. Then we heard laughing, followed by "No...silly lion, we don't wipe our tears with our tails!" Then you came into the bedroom to repeat, "The Cowardly Lion was wiping his tears with his tail. That's silly! We don't do that!"
Very cute Maev...and very true. We don't wipe our tears with our tails.
Love you,
Mom

BFFs
Maevy-
We recently had your parent-teacher conference at school. Overall you are doing great. You are a good helper and your favorite centers to play in are home-living, the loft, and the book center. Your best friend is Zoe (see above), although you also like hanging out with the teachers a lot. It seems you've become quite the teacher's pet and like helping them or doing whatever they are doing.
Other educational updates-
* You know all of your letters.
* You know all of your numbers.
* I think you can count to 20.
* You are really good at writing the letter "M", "X", "W", "T" and "A". Last night, you even wrote a lower case "h".
* Last night, you said there were 6 stories in each Curious George book. I said- "yeah, you're right." You replied, "Yeah, 12!" I think you just got lucky.
* Last week, you "read" one of the Curious George stories in it's entirety, almost verbatim. Sometimes your memory freaks Mom and Dad out.
* You know your birthday and your address. (You still think we live in Nationals, TN.)
We love watching you learn and grow. Keep it up!

Story Teller
Here you at school napping....super cute.
Now that you are older and have been sleeping in a "big girl" bed, you also like to get out of bed, come downstairs, and make up a story or reason why you needed to get out of bed. Usually you claim you can't find a stuffed animal. "I can't find ___________ (baby, Violet-the dog, Rudolph, Bearie)." One time you whined and claimed that "Baby hit you in the face." Several times you've gotten out of bed to put on your slippers or more recently your new silver, church shoes.
Every time, we just take you back upstairs, say good night, and tell you to "stay in bed!". Last night after we read books for 45minutes!, I put you in bed and said good night. I heard you whining/crying on the monitor and decided to check on you before you got out of bed.
Here was our conversation last night-
Maevy: "Mom...I need you to tell me a story."
(Side note: You have Daddy wrapped around your finger. Plus Daddy is really good at telling stories, and usually when it's his turn to do bed time, he tells you 1-3 stories as you lie in bed. Everything from the Wizard of Oz to Space Balls to baseball themed stories like Fever Pitch.)
Mom: "No, Mom isn't going to tell you any stories. It's time for bed. You can tell your stuffed animals a story."
Maevy: "No, I can't. Their mouths are closed."
Mom: (while trying not to laugh) "Well, then just hold on to blankie and try to go to sleep. Good night."
I'm not sure what you decided, but we didn't hear another peep. I can only imagine the stories you will make up when you are older.
Love you, Maev.

Stories from the Weekend
Hiya Maev-
You are becoming quite the handful, especially for an almost 7ish month pregnant lady.
On Saturday, while Daddy was at a photography class, we went out for a"special treat" to this place where you make your own pancakes. (Mostly I was hungry and wanted some coffee, but also had been wanting to try this place out for a while.) The food was okay, and you didn't really seem to care about helping make the pancakes. The big news was you needing to poop twice! during our meal- which meant leaving our table twice, once while there was pancake cooking. The 2nd time, you walked off and told the wait staff along the way that you "had to go poopy." Then when you were ready to leave, you announced, "I'm done. Let's go home" and started heading for the door. I was still paying/trying to put some cream in my to-go cup of coffee. Luckily the front door was heavy and you couldn't open it. As I walked to the front of the restaurant, everyone was looking around wondering who belonged to this child. (I'm a pretty awesome and responsible Mom.)
Then on Sunday, we made the mistake of going to the grocery store as a family. Daddy says you are usually great when you two go together, but this time, not so much...You talked Daddy into getting one of those car-carts. More than once, you climbed up on top of the car! Plus we ran into 2! friends from school which meant you wanted to talk, hold hands, run through the store, and give them all hugs. The worst was when we were trying to check out. Daddy was no where to be found. You are on the roof of the car, insisting on helping put items from the actual cart onto the conveyor belt. The cart gets stuck in the checkout aisle, and I'm too fat to fit between the candy bars and that stupid car to get to the front and pull you off. It was a mess! Next time I go by myself to the grocery store or you and Daddy can go together.

Friendly Conversation
This video is hilarious. Last weekend Mommy and Daddy took you and a friend from school, Elias, to see Conductor Jack at the Country Music Hall of Fame. During the 7 minute car ride from Elias' house to downtown, you and Elias had a conversation about Toy Story. It basically consisted of Elias stating, "Buzz Lightyear is a Space Ranger." and you replying, "I know he's a Space Ranger, but also he's a toy!" Repeat. It seriously went on for the entire car ride. Hilarious!

Touching the bat building
Daddy has recently gotten into this bad habit of pointing things out to you while in the car, which we pass by quickly, and you miss it. Then we spend the next few minutes in a toddler conversation- "Where's _____? I don't see it. I want to see ______. Where is it Daddy?"
Living so close to downtown, we see the Nashville skyline everyday. Recently, Daddy pointed out the AT&T Building aka the "Bat Building" to you. You, of course, didn't get it until Daddy finally took a picture of it and explained it. Now you're a smarty pants and point out the "Bat Building" everywhere. Last week, you pointed it out from the backseat, on my library card, which is on my keys, while they were in the ignition and I was driving.
Well on Sunday morning, you and Daddy, made a quick stop (mid-donut run) and touched the "Bat Building".
