In 3rd grade- all of of writings start and end like this-

Halloween 2017

Maevy-

We saw the Wyckoff extended fam (Barwicks and Farahs), did a Halloween costume run, and went to the neighborhood truck or treat. You came up the idea for June's costume, thinking you would be a pair. :)

On the night of- you all went trick or treating a couple times and handed out over 1000 pieces of candy, 1 per person. We were out of candy by 7:30p and in bed by 8:30p. Every year I say.."This is crazy!"..about our road.

1st Quarter 3rd Grade

"Congratulations. I'm glad your back! (from the hospital) (not the car)"

Fall Break Recap

Maevy-girl-

We headed to Chatt for a few days with the Taylors (Anna, JR, Suz , Juli, Elena, M, & Pop).

Day 1: Arrived at the Airbnb house, played
Day 2: Aquarium, carousel, park, then dinner out at Public House
Day 3: Rock City, Children's Museum, pizza home
Day: Zip line, then home :)

Swing with all the kids was a big hit. So was the bounce house in the basement. You were good with the little kids, loved the screening room, slept in the screening room, slept without your lovie because you left it at Emmy's house. You went to school and wrote all about the airbnb we stayed. :)

Rock city..we laughed so hard when Daddy couldn't fit.

You  loved zip lining!

3rd Grade Stories So Far...

Lockeland Dreamin'
This year our school's theme is "Lockeland Dreamin', What lifts you? The theme makes me think of the goals and dreams I have. I hope one day to become a photographer or a kindergarten teacher. I can achieve that goal of being a photographer by taking pictures and practicing. I know that if I keep practicing that my dream of being a photographer will come true. - Maevy Taylor (August 2017)

Stories from Math -
Each week the class practices math facts by doing a 5 minute drill. If you get a certain % correct, then you get to be on Mr. Todd's Wall of Fame. After the 1st drill - Mr. Todd announced the names that got all 50 questions correct. But then later - you got your test back and noticed that you got all 50 right as well. You spoke up and let Mr. Todd know - he apologized for missing it earlier. :)

Last week in math - you were going over some division and Mr. Todd kept asking questions and you kept raising your hand to answer. Then finally - Mr. Todd said - "Does anyone besides Maevy know any of these answers?"
